This music is for quartet of violin, two guitars (one is 10-string) and violoncello. It is inspired by a beautiful place, where are preserved ancient mechanics once serving for building automatons and music boxes. They are preserved in working conditions and kept in a small atelier in the town of Sainte-Croix in Switzerland.

During the 1810s the main activity of the population of this town becomes the construction of music boxes and automatons. Even today some of the world’s finest automaton builders are living and working in this town.

The atelier with those mechanics charms and makes travel back in time it’s visitors by recalling them the forgotten professions of the industry of the music box and automaton production.
