This album highlights the contemporary character of works inspired by traditional Slavic Balkan music. It includes several main categories: lively dances, laments, and unmeasured songs and melodies. Pieces composed by Atanas Ourkouzounov, Dusan Bogdanovic, and Miroslav Tadic were chosen to illustrate the originality of their musical language. The use of complex and unusual playing techniques stretches the limits of classical performance. 

Noémy Braun and Dimitar Ivanov founded the Braunov duo (guitar/cello) in 2015. Together they explore a wide array of sound effects, developing new tools both acoustic and electronic, and engaging in different types of improvisation to create their first original compositions.
