BALKAN MOODS with five soloists from Bulgaria - Swiss Tour
One of Bulgaria's legendary musicians of traditional Balkan music and jazz, THEODOSII SPASSOV, is coming to Switzerland to perform with four internationally renowned Bulgarian musicians - Atanas Ourkouzounov – guitar, George Vassilev - guitar, Irina-Kalina Goudeva - double bass and voice, Dimitar Ivanov - 10-string guitar.
Balkan Moods is a project born of the synergy and complicity between the five virtuoso artists and their desire to explore a new repertoire for quintet, allowing them to develop a spontaneous and moving musical aesthetic, influenced by the melodies, rhythms and cultural traditions of the Balkans. Stylistically speaking, this new music represents a symbiosis of three genres: classical, jazz and folklore. The repertoire is selected from the works of leading contemporary composers from Bulgaria and Serbia.
